Learning To Take one Day at a Time Wiith Liver Disease

My husband has liver disease, and his symptoms all point to end stage cirrhosis.  He was hospitalized with acute kidney and liver failure a week ago.   He is on a maintenance program at home with diuretics, Lactulose, and a very low protein, low sodium diet.

This is a learning experience for us, and I am caregiver and wife.  I feel inadequate at times, but I do my best to try to cook proper meals, and make sure he is in the right state of mind.  His ammonia levels were high and this makes one very sleepy, and out of their mind.
