My husband and I spent the Christmas evening with some of his family. We had a lovely time and John saw his grown nephews that he hasn't seen in a long time. His sister, who had been battling cancer the last few months was there with her husband, as were John's sister and husband, who were our wonderful hosts. We were so glad to be with family.
I feel like a little humor and poetry today:
The day after Christmas and everyone's tired, food, friends, and merriment are a memory so fine.
Pa in his sweatpants and I in mine, are chillin, and veggen, just a wastin time.
No shopping, or hurrying for us today.
Just talkin, sleepin and on our way,
to a newyear coming in just a few days.
