When I was a child growing up, we would go to the cemetary on what the old timers called, "Decoration Day." It wasn't until today, at 53 years old , that I found out why they called it that. The above article explains it so well!
We all have many relatives, or know of many who fought for our freedoms over the years. Take time out to remember them today.
Freedom has been paid for with a great sacrifice of many lives! Let's not take it for granted. Many are wounded, and many are still fighting for the cause of freedom yet today! Let's always honor those who fight for us, and hold them in high regard!
Let's remember them by keeping our country free from it's own destruction within. Why allow men and women to die needlessly? We must make our voices heard, and our votes count, to assure our freedoms live on in America. Land of the free and home of the brave!
